Can you tell us a little about IM5?
The band got started a year ago when Perez Hilton, Simon Fuller, and Jamie King had a nationwide audition and big national search and we were very blessed to be the final five.
How did you get involved with Chance to Play?
Dalton got us into Chance to Play so we’ll let him talk.
Dalton– I met the founder of FundaField charity (Kyle Weiss), he’s a really great guy. Chance to Play was started when he met Ryan Potter from Supah Ninjas, the tv show on Nickelodean and they started talking and created the charity. I met him, we started talking, and that’s how we got involved with the charity.
What songs are you performing at halftime?
We’re doing “Boyfriend” by Justin Beiber, a cover of that, and we’re doing an original song “Everything About U”
Are you playing in the game?
We are playing, we are looking forward to that. We’re all on different teams so it is going to be a competition between all of us.
Which member of IM5 has the best soccer skills?
Cole has the best soccer skills, he was like training for the Olympics.
Cole – I played soccer my whole life, started when I was four All I did was live, breathe, eat, and play soccer and then I was starting to get into the ODP program which is the Olympic Development Program.
Who is going to be the most entertaining?
Dalton!
Dana – I think me and Dalton, we’re on the same team, Go Italy, we’re going to be throwing balloons and smashing pies in people’s faces so we should have a great time.
What was it like performing/collaborating with Bella Thorne?
Will– Bella is awesome, she works super hard, she’s the hardest worker I’ve ever seen and she was like always making me feel bad because she was working so hard. She’s super talented and super supportive of us and she’s just been amazing
Who would you like to collaborate with?
Collectively as a group we all say Chris Brown and Bruno Mars because their music is amazing and Chris Brown with the direction he is going is the direction we could see ourselves going to. Definitely those two are big inspirations to us.
What are you working on musically?
Gabe – Right now we’re just recording every day, well not every day. We’ll have a week where we’re trying to write songs, work, and get our album together. One single we have coming out is “Zero Gravity”, it comes out on Monday and we have the music video coming out following that. And we have the mall tour, and then it’s really about recording and songwriting right now.
Any upcoming performances we can promote?
We are performing at City Walk August 31, and Bella Thorne is going to come on stage with us and do our song together and we are working on the mall tour.
Do any of the band play any musical instruments?
Will – I play the piano. And Gabe plays the drums.
Dalton – I play guitar, bass, and other stuff.
Twitter Fan Question: Who is your musical inspiration?
Dalton – Probably Pink Floyd, Led Zepplein, Green Day. I like pop music but that’s not really what I grew up with. I grew up with rock, so that’s me.
Cole – My biggest influence is Justin Timberlake. Ever since I was a kid I definitely looked up to him, his music is amazing and just as a person I look up to him.
Gabe – I look up to Chris Brown and Marc Anthony, and Taio Cruz.
Dana – I look up to Chris Brown as well, Usher, and Michael Jackson, those are my Big Three.
Will – Most of my musical inspirations are singer/songwriters like Jason Meraz, John Mayer, like that kind of area.
Twitter Fan Question: What is on Dalton’s dog tag?
Dalton – Lyrics to the song “Simple Man” by Lynard Skynyrd. It says “Troubles will come and they will pass. Be something you love and understand.” My mom made it for me.
Twitter Fan Question: Who are you rooting for in the Olympics?
America!
Gabe – I want to give a shout out to the Cuban Miami boy, Danell Leyva, born in the Bronx, I’m Cuban and from Miami so it’s great to see someone go out and do that.

Dana – What team is Usain Bolt on? Usain Bolt, whatever team he’s on, I love watching him.
Ryan Lochte, he’s doing good! It’s a lot of fun, a lot of people love it, it’s so inspiring to watch to see them do great things and work hard for the USA is just a blessing. We wish they had that for boy bands or something. (Laughing) That would be cool.
Twitter Fan Question: Superman or Spiderman?
All of us except for Gabe are Spider-man, Gabe likes Superman.
