We first met Celica Westbrook right before the holiday's last year when she opened for Savannah Outen and Emily Osment during their holiday benefit concert at Universal City Walk. While we never met her before that day, we did hear the buzz about her "New Moon" song that she posted on YouTune which was inspired by the infamous Twilight Saga series. Celica is currently focusing on her music, which fans can listen to on her official MySpace Music website. What were you most excited about when returning to school every year? What I was most excited about when returning to school was being able to see my friends every day and getting to girl-talk every day and just see friends, not that I didn’t get to see them a lot, just the fact that I got to see them everyday.
What did you fear most about the first day of school?
What I was most afraid of during school was the mean teachers, and if they were going to get you in trouble for every little mistake you made. That always made me nervous because I talk a lot and I have gotten into trouble with that problem in the past.
Do you have any advice on getting rid of the back-to-school jitters? Yes, I would just have to say stand confident and always be yourself. Don’t care about the people that bring you down ever throughout school, and just stand tall and act like you don’t care. That always got the jitters out of me.
Who was your favorite teacher? My favorite teacher ever would probably have to be my 4th grade teacher Miss Kibby. She was one of my nicest teachers
What is your favorite school memory? My favorite memory from school was my lunch table during 8th grade. Me and five other girls sat every day during lunch together at the same table and talked about everything. We talked about boys, we laughed so hard to the point other people started to stare, and played pranks on each other. Every day I would always look forward to lunch because it was so much fun. We had the best time ever together that year. I have a lot of great memories from that table.
Do you recall the first thing you wanted to be when you grew up? I always wanted to be a princess in a castle when I was a little girl, but I as a got a bit older I always wanted to be a teacher because they got to write on the board, and I always thought that was fun to do.
Do you have any embarrassing moments from school? Yes I do, well it’s embarrassing, but I was willing to do it so I guess it counts as embarrassing. Last year in 8th grade, during lunch one day I was told by my friends to do the moonwalk, my grandpa walk, and my famous gangster walk down the aisles of my lunchroom. It was actually quite fun I have to say. That’s why I think it was more embarrassing for my friends than it was for me.
Where did you like to shop for back-to-school clothes? I love to shop for back to school clothes, and I still do at Urban Outfitters, my favorite store ever, Forever 21 and Charlotte Russe. Those stores always have cute, innovative clothes that are adorable.
