RIVERFRONT STAGE ANNOUNCEMENT: To make it easier on families trying to stay afloat during the current economic climate, this year CMA is offering all four days of the Daytime Stage (Riverfront) performances for free to the public. Fans can enjoy great musical performances while relaxing on the sloping bank of the Cumberland River. Have a little fun in the sun on the River and listen to some awesome bands. The venue is within easy walking distance of all the Festival event sites, with food vendors, activities, and more. Four-day ticket holders will enjoy early access and exclusive use of the popular Photo Line at Riverfront. Currently, the only band announced for this venue is the reunion of The Judds, who will be kicking off the festival this year.

READ, WRITE AND RHYTHM FUNDRAISER AT 8PM: The event will take place at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center in the James Polk Theatre and will include special performances by Chely Wright, Rodney Crowell, Bucky Covington, Justin Moore, Buxton Hughes, SHeDAISY, Trisha Yearwood, Jamey Johnson, and Jann Arden. CMT AWARDS: Last year the grand gala was held the week after the CMA Festival, but this year the stars will line up at the Bridgestone Arena the night before the official CMA festivities begin. The presenters for the ceremony includes country superstars Trisha Yearwood and Zac Brown Band, celebrity cook Paula Deen, American Idol judge Kara Dioguardi, NFL star Terrell Owens, actress Hayden Panettiere, NASCAR legend Richard Petty and SNL's Kenan Thompson. If that's not enough to get starstruck over wait until you read the list of performers, which include main stage Toby Keith, Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, Tim McGraw, Brad Paisley, Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban and the Zac Brown Band and the Nationwide Insurance stage performances by Laura Bell Bundy, Easton Corbin, Justin Moore, Steel Magnolia, Trailer Choir and Chris Young. To top it off the host of this years ceremony will be Kid Rock, who is also scheduled to perform tonight!
CMA FESTIVAL KICK OFF PARADE: Brenda Lee will be the Grand Marshall at this years CMA Festival Kick-Off Parade. Athletes of all levels are encouraged to register as a St. Jude Hero and fundraise for the children of St. Jude. TAYLOR SWIFT MEET & GREET WITH SPECIAL ACOUSTIC PERFORMANCE AT 8:00 AM: Taylor Swift is sitting on top of the world right now and is every bit thankful to her fans for putting her there. To show her appreciation, Taylor has put aside her entire day on today to spend with her fans. Since 13 is her lucky number and since today is the 13th, Taylor has decided that she would go along with the theme and spend 13 hours signing autographs, meeting her fans and giving a special acoustic show for everyone in attendance. The meet and greet is FREE TO THE PUBLIC, meaning you don't have to hold passes to the festival in order to met Taylor today.
