Who wants a Chance To Play? Teen celebs from Disney and Nickelodeon are teaming up to help disadvantaged youth at “Chance to Play 2012,” a charity soccer game for FUNDaFIELD and Toy Box of Hope at Cromwell Field at the University of Southern California on August 5, 2012. Young actors, dancers, and YouTube stars are lacing up their soccer cleats and putting on their game face all for a very worthy cause; to help disadvantaged children around the world. How's your summer going? It's going great for The Shoe Crew, a group of philanthropic youth who have been working hard all summer long to collect brand new athletic shoes for underprivileged kids who cannot afford to buy new shoes for back to school. Shoes collected are being donated to two different charities, A Place Called Home and Shoes That Fit. So far, this summer The Shoe Crew has collected 1,392 pairs of new shoes, with a goal of 2200 pairs by the end of the summer. Click inside to read more!
Hollywood came together on a hot June night for The Thirst Project Third Annual Gala to honor founder Seth Maxwell as well as Chyler Leigh (Grey's Anatomy) and Nathan West for their efforts to stop the global water crisis. An American family with a high school student spends an average of $1,078 on prom, leaving one out of every four American families unable to send their student to prom. Prom for All rallies students to organize dress drives at their schools and in their communities and drop the dresses off at a local collection site through June 22, 2012. The dresses are then passed on to girls within that community who are in need of a dress. Seams (get it?) easy enough, right? Brittany Curran, best known for her portrayal of Ray Ramano's daughter in Men of A Certain Age, participated in the Falmouth Road Race, Cape Cod in Massachusetts on August 14th where she helped raise over $72,000 in support of the Boston Children's Hospital. Before the marathon began, Brittany made a special appearance at the children's hospital where she interacted with the staff and several young patients during a special screening of her movie Legally Blondes. The Lollipop Theater Network hosted its 3rd Annual Game Day on May 7th at the Nickelodeon Animation Studios in Burbank. This event is the annual fundraiser for this non-profit organization that is "dedicated to bringing the magic of movies to the children who need it the most". Some of the celebrities who walked the "purple" carpet this year were Chloe Bridges, Ashley Argota, Savannah Outen, Ariana Grande, Logan Miller, Rico Rodriguez, Raini Rodriguez, Booboo Stewart, Ryan Newman, Ciara Bravo, Erin Sanders and Matt Bennett. Sportie LA partnered with TOM’s Shoes for One Day Without Shoes event on Tuesday, to spread the word about the importance of a single pair of shoes to a person’s life. Celebrities in attendance included Brittany Curran, Haley Ramm and Amber Lancaster. Imagine walking 15 miles to school, for water, or to see your doctor … without shoes. No matter what the weather. No matter how you feel. One Day Without Shoes shines a spotlight on the tragic circumstances experienced by so many around the world. And you can help us shine that light. Celebrities, VIPS and guests will take off their shoes and walk around in the sand while helping a great cause and enjoy food, drinks and music. Tom Shoes developed the idea of One Day Without Shoes so that people around the world would go barefoot and experience what the millions of people living without shoes go through on a daily basis. Over 300 million children in the world do not own a pair of shoes. Last year 250,000 people went without shoes for the day. Check out some of the image highlights from the event.
Hollywood fashionistas came out to support The Lakers’ Youth Foundation and STAPLES Center Foundation at the America Express presents The Shoppes at The Palazzo Jimmy Choo Shopping Event. Vanessa Hudgens, Josh Hutchinson and Brenda Song all gathered in the Chairman’s Room and scoped out the latest Jimmy Choo shoes, handbags, and clutches and hottest apparel from American retail giant Spiegel. The ladies also tried on everything that sparkled with Simon G Jewelry on hand to outfit them in anything they needed from earrings to bangles. It was a father/daughter date for Brenda Song who brought her father along for a fun day of shopping and going to the game. Brenda, who just celebrated her birthday in Vegas, tried on a few pairs of shoes by Jimmy Choo and Vanessa bought a snakeskin bag to add to her collection. “The snakeskin one is my favorite; it’s so gorgeous!” mentioned Vanessa as she showed it to friends.
Concert for Hope raised more than $600,000 in a sold-out show for cancer research and treatment programs at City of Hope. More than 6,000 fans flanked to the Gibson Auditorium to watch live performances of Disney music artists Selena Gomez and the Scene, the Jonas Brothers, Allstar Weekend and Christina Grimmie. Concert for Hope benefits for City of Hope, one of the nation's leading research, treatment and education centers for cancer and other life-athreatening diseases. We were invited backstage at the 2011 Concert for Hope benefit where we caught up with Selena, Christina and the guys from Allstar Weekend! The 17th Annual Women Today event took place at the Knoxville Convention Center this past weekend drawing in quite a large crowd of attendees during the three-day event. The event hosted several fun activities booths set up for women, including several different places to shop for clothes, shoes and handbags. There were several booths displaying interesting home decor ideas. Fitness experts were also on hand to give demonstrations on a variety of heath and exercise techniques. On Sunday, Disney and ABC Family star Nicole Anderson was invited to take part in the festivities, which included a fashion show and a special autograph signing for her fans. stars came together to help kids in need. Several young hollywood
stars volunteered their time includingKaitlyn Maher, Jadin Gould, Morgan Lily, Kenton Duty, Davis Cleveland, Emily Grace Reaves, Roshan Fegan, Kathryn Newton, Elsie Fisher and many more.
Young Hollywood stars came out for the 2nd Annual Tutus4Tots event where the stars joined forces to hand out Ooh! La, La! Couture dresses, China Doll shoes and Pink Pewter hair accessories to 75 area kids with the help of Kids In Distressed Situations. Her motto is to "Teach As You Learn" and that is exactly what she set out to do as the creator, host and executive producer of own talk show Gimme Mo' (www.gimmemo.com). During a recent visit to New York City, Monique spent the day educating young girls about the importance of knowing who they are and standing up for what they believe in. Glee star Chord Overstreet, Modern Family’s Ariel Winter, David Henrie, Bow Wow, Aimee Teegarden, and many other young Hollywood stars were seen with goodies including Shred Sled skateboards, Pastry armbands, China Glaze nailpolish and Stride gum at the Variety Power of Youth event at Paramount studios this weekend. The back lot became a carnival for stars like Big Time Rush, Kendall Jenner and Bailee Madison to mingle with kids from local charities as they enjoyed pumpkin carving, Radio Disney dance contests and personalized airbrushed hats. The Power of Youth event honored Justin Bieber, Shailene Woodley, Victoria Justice, David Henrie, and Bow Wow for their commitment to promoting philanthropic causes that are close to their hearts and encouraging their young fans to support charitable causes as well.

On Saturday, Hollywood showed they cared at Habitat for Humanity fundraiser “American Dream Walk” that took place in Pacoima, CA. Converging at the Pacoima Plaza, Habitat walkers were treated to a morning kick-off rally emceed by Trevor Donovan, actor on hit series “90210” and avid Habitat supporter, a musical performance by Mark Ballas, professional dancer on “Dancing with the Stars”, and a warm-up stretch routine led by The Laker Girls and Rusty Joiner, actor and fitness model.
At the Habitat Pacoima Site, celebrities and community members joined together to raise the wooden framework of Habitat’s newest home, as well as participated in a landscape relay to beautify the housing complex. Several of our favorite celebrities showed up to lend an extra hand, including Bristol Palin (Dancing with the Stars), Ariel Winter (Modern Family), Nolan Gould (Modern Family), Joey King (Ramona and Beezus), Matt Lanter (90210) and many more. The AllyKatzz Foundation kicked off the 2nd Annual AllyKatzz Tween Summit in New York City last weekend and we were invited to join in on the
celebration and bring YOU all the details on this awesome event! The
AllyKatzz Foundation was created to bring the spotlight on all tween
girls, to let them know they have a voice and to provide education on
how they can use their voice to change the world. The girls got to meet
some powerful women in today's society. We got the AllyKatzz scoop

The proceeds from the sales will benefit the Code Blue Foundation, which was created by actor Jermaine Crawford to help fight against teenage homelessness. Each of the stars in attendance took part in the DenimMessaging by decorating the inside of jeans with images and phrases of love, support and encouragement for the wearer of the jeans. Holly Robinson Peete through a super cool carnival bash today in honor of the release of her new book "My Brother Charlie" which she co-wrote with her daughter Ryan Elizabeth Peete. The book is about Ryan's twin brother Charlie who was diagnosed with autism when he was three years old. Holly Robinson-Peete explained to us that when her family found out about Charlie's condition there were no available resources to help the family better understand autism. Both mother and daughter hope that this book will give other families the ability to easily access the important information about autism. The event drew in some very philantropic celebrities including Meaghan Martin, Ryan Ochoa, Boo Boo Stewart, Fivel Stewart, Emily Grace Reaves, Yvette Nicole Brown, Blair Underwood, Alison Sweeney and many more. Ashley Argota and KSM were also on hand to perform for the kids and to help bring awareness to the cause. As guests walked behind the building they walked into a super fun carnival that had a jumbo slide, an aquarium (with sharks!!!), a rock climbing wall, face painting, a make-up section and many cool games and prizes. The most philanthropic young performers came out to support the Kids Helping Kids Project Haiti benefit concert last night at the Avalon in Hollywood. Many fans showed up at the event to cheer on their favorite performers as they sang their hit songs. Guests were also able to bid on some really cool gift packages during the silent auction, and one of the packages included an American Doll signed by Sammi Hanratty and CD's signed by Josh Golden and Savannah Outen. All of the proceeds from the evening were being donated to the God's Littlest Angels Orphanage of Haiti. We couldn't have picked a better way to spend the evening while helping a great cause at the same time! Mitchel Musso and The Carter Twins appeared at the Westfield Mall in Culver City last night to perform an acoustic set of music, which included two songs from the "A Very Special Christmas, Volume 7" CD. The Carter Twins took the stage first singing their hit singles "So What" and "Heart Like Memphis" and closed out their set with the holiday favorite "Let It Snow." When Radio Disney DJ and host of the event Ernie D announced Mitchel Musso the crowd went wild! Mitchel stepped onto the stage to perform his hit single "Shout It" and all the girls in the audience was singing along! He ended his two-song set with "Jingle Bell Rock," which is a song Mitchel picked for the Special Christmas album because it was more his style of music, although he did admit that he tries to incorporate many different styles into his music. Mitchel's good friends Raymond and Ryan Ochoa were in attendance to show their support and even talked to us about their favorite Mitchel songs. Raymond was quick to say that his favorite Mitchel song is "Shout It," while Ryan confessed his favorite being "The In Crowd". Both brothers agreed that Mitchel is a great performer and that they really enjoyed the show. There was a special Meet & Greet available for those who purchased a copy of the "A Very Special Christmas, Volume 7" album. The Children Mending Hearts foundation hosted its annual “Please Mr. President” workshop last weekend with celebrity guests Corbin Blue (High School Musical), Allen Evangelista (Secret Life of the American Teenager), Chris Massey (Everybody Hates Chris) and Katerina Graham (The Vampire Diaries). 250 New York-area homeless children and 150 foster children and their families, as well as celebrities, community volunteers and civic leaders were in attendance. The 10-city workshop series features professional writers, artists, teachers, celebrities and VIPs that help disadvantaged youth with artistic projects and writing personal letters to the U.S. President about their lives and how they see the future. The American Women of Radio and Television parterned with General Mills to kick off the "Season for Sharing" event. The Junior Diabetes Research Foundation kicked off its annual "Walk To Cure Diabetes" this morning at the legendary Dodger Stadium in the Elysian Park area of Los Angeles. Fans gathered around the stage as special guests Sugar Ray Leonard and Kristen Stewart took the stage to speak about the cause. Sugar Ray spoke about his father's diagnoses of the disease, which forced his career as a professional boxer to raise funds to help pay his father's medical bills. Kristen Stewart talked about this being her first year being involved with the foundation and was really excited to be there. The two participated in the ribbon cutting ceremony before Kristen was escorted out due to the prior commitment of the Twilight Saga: New Moon press junket. Project Go Code Blue is a new organization founded by seventeen year old actor Jermaine Crawford, who can be seen portraying Duquan "Dukie" Weems on HBO's popular hit series "The Wire." What you may not have known about Jermaine is that he is heavily involved in helping to get homeless teens off the streets. Jermaine gained inspiration from his role on "The Wire" and formed the Project Go Code Blue foundation. Many young Hollywood actors wanted to join forces with Jermaine to help spread the word about teenage homelessness. On Saturday, the foundation filmed a public service announcement on a private soundstage in Hollywood, California. Stars from two of The CW's leading shows 90210 and Melrose Place gathered at the Lowes in Pacoima. California this morning to celebrate phase three of the Habitat for Humanity project in Pacoima, which will consist in the building of the last 24 homes of the project. A total of 61 homes will be completed when the project finishes. Jimmy Kimmel taped a segment of the event for his show and brought his team along, and cast members Trevor Donovan, Matt Lanter and Michael Steger created Team 90210 while Thomas Calabro, Stephanie Jacobsen, Jessica Lucas, Shaun Sipos, Colin Egglesfield and Michael Rady made up Team Melrose Place. This special evening will honor our American heroes and the net proceeds will benefit the Wounded Warrior Project, Make-A-Wish Foundation; Orange County/Inland Empire, and the Boys & Girls Clubs; Orange County Alliance. Life Changing Lives recognizes individuals and organizations that have had a positive effect - by inspiration or by action - on the lives of those who have struggled with disease, loss or adverse situations. A special auction has been gathered featuring some rare autographed items and opportunities to meet some of your favorite celebrities, including Carrie Underwood, The Killers, Gwen Stefani, John Mayer, Jason Mraz, Daughtry and more. Proxy bidding is currently taking place online and guests at the event will also be able to place bids throughout the evening. Celebrities autographed and designed backpacks provided by Office Depot and Sharpie’s “My Project Backpack” program (www.myprojectbackpack.com) to be given to patients at City of Hope, a leading research, treatment, and education center for cancer, diabetes, and other life-threatening diseases. Jordin Sparks made a design in honor of her friend who battled cancer. "Twilight" and "New Moon" star Kellan Lutz also stopped by to design a backpage for the cause. AbigalBreslin most recently starred in the critically acclaimed "My Sisters Keeper," a film sheding light on the difficulties of being diagnosed with cancer and how the families cope and suffer. City of Hope played an integral role as several of their physicians served as consultants on the film and the center’s patients can be seen throughout the movie. (More inside)

The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation will auction off celebrity autographed Havaianas flip flops by some of your favorite teen celebrities. The red carpet was off to an early start Saturday morning as celebrities arrived to kick off the festivities surrounding the Los Angeles Revlon Run/Walk for Women. Held every year during mother's day weekend, the popular event draws over 50,000 people every year to honor women who have survived cancer and to remember those who have passed away. Some of the stars who attended this years events had a personal attachment to the cause. After a difficult struggle with breast cancer last year, Christina Applegate was on hand to talk about her victory and to speak of the importance of exams. "Today I stand on this stage and I want to thank all of your for the support and love and encouragement you have given me during this past tumultuous year," Christina said to the welcoming crowd. Keana Texeira of The G-Girlz walked with Lesley Vogel (Jansen and Hayden Panettiere's mother) and Diane Samonas (Daniel Samonas' mother). "I did my first marathon with 2 of the coolest moms I know!" Keana says. Keana walked in honor of her grandmother Isabell (who died of pancreatic cancer in 2000) and great grandmother Buena (who died of breast cancer in 2006). This year Clarasound donated $200,000 to the foundation. Celebrities also on hand included Miley Cyrus, Jennette McCurdy, Rachel Fox, Derek Hough, Marcia Cross, and many more.

Brittany Curran and Sammi Hanratty were amoung the celebrity participants during the annual Kids4Kids Charity Walk in Century City, California today. Hundreds of kids and their parents joined the celebrities in supporting this worthy cause. After the race concluded everyone was invited into the carnival block where each of the celebrities were placed in different game booths where fans could meet them and play games with them. Brittany Curran was in charge of the Dance, Dance Revolution booth while Sammi Hanratty was helping with the coin toss game. The Party Animals entertained the crowd with music and In-N-Out Burger provided lunch. The carnival was a huge success and some of the crowd favorite activities included a rock climbing tower, a ferris wheel, a surf bounce house and a maze/slide combo bounce house.
