When the two met at the Nashville hotspot Blue Bird Café, a uniquely entertaining creation had formed with a sultry country songstress and comedic farmboy songwriter. “He was doing a songwriter’s night, and I sat there, and listened to him sing, and listened to his songs, and said to myself, ‘that’s the man I want to spend the rest of my life with someday,’” Joey said recalling the night they met. “I was chasing a dream of being a songwriter and she was chasing her dream of being a singer,” Rory adds. “It’s like when two separate dreams collide, this is sort of the product of it, and it’s bigger than we imagined.” What a perfect collision they have made. "I'm sure you guys have heard about the passing of two icons in Hollywood. The first being Farrah Fawcett, an original Charlie's Angel and an amazing actress. The second being the King of Pop and one of the most talented people who will ever grace this earth, Michael Jackson. He was only 50 years old. It just goes to show you that life is short, and you should always cherish every moment and be thankful for everything you have. Michael Jackson was a huge inspiration. I've been watching footage of him on the news for the past five hours (pretty much since I got home)... What an incredible life and career he had. He was a musical genius and he will definitely be missed! My heart goes out to his family... Especially his children. May he rest in peace with his Creator."
